This 80-acre farm has been in our family for over 100 years. Currently, it is owned by two brothers, Steve and Stan.
In 1987, our parents built the house next door to BB’s Cottage. In 2017, our dad passed away. In 2021, we built this cottage for my mother who is called BB by her grandchildren. Then, Steve and his wife moved into our parents’ house so that our mother could stay on the farm as long as possible.
In 2022, Stan and his wife built the cabin that is located across the pond on the other side of the farm. They live outside of Jackson and use the cabin on the weekends.
In 2023, we moved our mother into an assisted living place in Petal. Now, we are renting out BB’s Cottage. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and sleeps 8.
